Wayside shrines

Wayside shrines rank among the most frequent and best preserved examples of folk architecture. They are all similar but still, each of them is a little different, with various details. These small structures shaped like columns or pillars and often topped with a roof with a cross are scattered across the landscape, at forks in the road or in public places in towns and villages. The wayside shrine of Chudčice stands in a field behind the village, in the direction of Tišnov. It is a listed monument dating back to the second half of the 19th century.
